Are you a ramen lover? If so, you know that the key to a good bowl of ramen is in the broth. A good ramen broth is rich, flavorful, and has the perfect balance of umami.
But what if you don't have the time (or the patience) to make your own broth from scratch? Don't worry, we've got you covered. In this post, we'll show you how to make ramen broth using just a few simple ingredients.

The first step is to gather your ingredients. For this recipe, you'll need:
1 pound of boneless, skinless chicken thighs
1 large onion, chopped
4 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tablespoons of grated ginger
6 cups of water
2 tablespoons of soy sauce
1 tablespoon of fish sauce
1 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon of salt
Now that you have all of your ingredients, it's time to get started. The first thing you'll need to do is brown the chicken thighs. To do this, heat a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of oil. Once the oil is hot, add the chicken and cook for about 5 minutes per side, or until browned.
Once the chicken is browned, remove it from the pot and set it aside. Now, add the chopped onion, garlic, and ginger to the pot and cook for about 5 minutes, or until the onion is softened.
Next, add the water, soy sauce, fish sauce, sugar, and salt to the pot and stir to combine. Now, add the chicken back to the pot and bring the mixture to a boil.
Once the broth is boiling, reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 1 hour. After an hour, the broth should be rich and flavorful.
Now, it's time to strain the broth. To do this, place a colander over a large bowl and strain the broth. Once the broth is strained, discard the solids and transfer the broth to a container.
And that's it! You've now made a delicious ramen broth that's perfect for your next bowl of ramen.
